Fusion of Cultures
One of my favourite things to do is to mix cultures. I love the idea of wearing an Egyptian patterned kimono (which is Japanese) dress, with English inspired brogues and a hat from God knows where ;)
The dress I got from Greenstone shopping mall for R300. A really friendly Indian guy was selling it along with other really long dresses and shirts. This one was by far the least interesting one – so please go support the man. Greenstone is located in the Edenvale area.
The shoes are so old that they are hanging on their last thread. I got these from Mr Price for about R100. Silver in colour, they bring in a very retro feel to this outfit.
Lastly, the hat is from Randburg taxi rank! The place where traditional food, bad attitude and unrefined style meets the frugal female – it’s heavenly. I got this for R80.
